Environmental Management
Through the use of an integrated industrial safety management system, Sinur-Oil LLP ensures continuous environmental protection and monitoring while also minimizing environmental consequences. An environmental management policy compliant with the requirements of the global ISO14001 standard serves as the primary mechanism in that endeavor. In 2020, Sinur-Oil LLP conducted an independent audit that verified the company’s adherence to the ISO 14001: 2019 environmental management system. The continuous shift from implementing initiatives aimed at eradicating any harm to the environment to the continuous assessment of potential environmental risks and the implementation of initiatives to prevent any occurrence of manmade environmental impacts is a crucial area of focus in the development of an environmental safety system.
Engaging with stakeholders
When the corporation is planning a project, it performs public consultations where all interested parties are provided access to materials and told about any potential environmental implications of the planned operations. Scientific and research institutions are involved in the development of new programs for the protection of nature as well as the introduction of new eco-technologies, or environmentally friendly technology. In particular, programs to protect biological variety are being created in collaboration with the A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution (RAS).
Through the yearly ecological conferences organized by Sinur-Oil LLP, employees of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Federal Service for the Supervision of Natural Resources (Rospridrodnadzor) are encouraged to engage in direct interaction with representatives of government agencies. The outlook for eradicating persistent and cumulative environmental damage, innovative strategies for regulating manmade environmental consequences, critical difficulties with current environmental protection legislation, and worldwide changes in environmental policy are all discussed by the participants.
The mission of Sinur-Oil LLP is to create an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) Workplace. Safety is more than just following regulations.
